Review

Instead of relying on easy training montages, Damien Francis throws his young lead Aeidor, onto an expansive, cross-country trek where character growth is earned through raw, visceral survival. What really hooked me was the party dynamic: the "living legends" traveling alongside Aeidor aren't shiny archetypes—they are complex, deeply human figures whose clashing moral philosophies create constant tension, all while being stalked by villains given just as much care and depth as the heroes. Backed by dirty, consequence-heavy battle scenes, a genuinely terrifying pocket of pure atmospheric horror, and an undeniable passion poured into every page, this ambitious debut ended up being a massive, surprise favorite that won me over completely.
